How did you start working with dentists?

 

In 1999 two dentists, Neil Sampson and Barry Oulton took one of my Sales Courses in Manchester, along with 10 other sales people from all other industries. I was racking my brains to understand why two dentists were taking a sales course along with car, radio and I.T. Sales People. I went on to discover that they had both developed excellent technical skills, but neither of them had been able to put them into practice, because they weren't able to communicate the benefits or discuss money with any self confidence with the patient. After taking my programme, they told me that I had changed their lives. They both reported that treatment plan uptakes had increased and that they were now delivering the dentistry that they had been trained for. Neil actually took the programme a further 6 times and is now one of my best friends.

 

From their introductions and referrals, I delivered my first Ethical Sales and Communication Programme to 27 dentists in Oxford six months later with my good friend Chris Barrow and after following up with these dentists they reported similar results. The programme took off from there, and I have now personally delivered my Two Day Programme to well over 4000 dentists, receptionists, nurses, Treatment Co-Coordinators and Practice Managers and I regularly deliver over 25 of these courses a year all over the UK as both In House and Open Courses. I very rarely advertise and all my business comes from referrals and repeat business. Some of my clients have taken my course 7 times. In addition, I deliver over 125 workshops every year in the UK and Internationally. (I stay away from home on average 70-80 nights a year.)

I only have 4 O-Levels, I did not go to University, nor am I a dentist, but I have one huge advantage over the vast majority of coaches in the UK, I can change behaviour.
