Instructor

After 20 years as a civil engineer with British Gas, David Taylor, like Ashley, moved into a business coaching career working for the Dale Carnegie Training Organisation, joining them in 1995. He was a seven course instructor and also an International Master Trainer.

David specialised in the Management and Leadership skills training sector and since 2003 has built up a successful business working with a wide range of organisations throughout the UK and Europe, ranging from small family run businesses, through to multi national organisations together with hospitality and leisure and more recently with schools and multi academy trusts.

David has written many bespoke training programmes for clients and specialises in ensuring that they do not get some ‘off the shelf’ generic training, but that it is exactly tailored to their needs. This is achieved by working with clients to ensure a complete understanding of their business so that they get the outcomes they want.

David has delivered many thousands of training and development sessions to businesses all over the world. The ethos that guides the delivery of all of these programmes is that of motivational support and accountability for the participants, together with the application of the skills learned back in the workplace. This is achieved through the use of spaced learning where the people are challenged to take the skills back into the workplace, apply them, and report back at the following session on the progress made.

He believes passionately that people can perform to significantly higher levels in an atmosphere of responsibility and accountability with support, coaching and positive encouragement. Like Ashley this is done in a fun and positive way, allowing people to develop new skills, behaviours, and increased self-confidence, which in turn leads to improved bottom line results.

David is a family man, married to Wendy for 28 years and have three children and three grandchildren. After family his interests have always included cars, spending 12 years as part of a drag racing team and subsequently getting involved with classic cars. Additionally David loves walking his dog, attending the gym and reading books.
