Ashley provides a structure to communicate effectively. It centred around rapport building, actively listening to our patients, utilising simple language that our patients understand, establishing the emotional connection or impact that their current dental problems are having in their life and structuring a plan by giving hope and directly giving the patient the solution and focusing in on the benefits of the treatment....I found Ashley highly entertaining, engaging, thought provoking, intelligent and inspiring to learn from and implement required changes...I would certainly recommend this course even to the most experienced, successful dentists as there is always concepts to revise, or something to take away and learn.

 

I made a quick decision to join a bunch of dentists and their teams in Sydney for the weekend to listen to a guy from Manchester share his story and his successes with dentists on ethical sales and communication. 

Some will be aware, but most may not have heard of this manucian - I am referring to Mr Ashley Latter

This was his first trip to Australia and his course was held on the 11-12th March 2016 at the Sheraton on the Park.

I really had minimal background on his philosophy in sales and didn't realise his 20 + years ( 7000+ dentists ), 24000 hours in the dental market teaching UK, USA and European dentists to effectively communicate and sell their services. Hence my curiosity deepens and I was eager to learn.

I presented with an open mind as I had never experienced a true sales approach to dentistry as I was brought up and raised on a prime practice model that has evolved over countless years into my own successful model ( more later ..) 

Ashley provides a structure to communicate effectively. It centred around rapport building, actively listening to our patients, utilising simple language that our patients understand, establishing the emotional connection or impact that their current dental problems are having in their life and structuring a plan by giving hope and directly giving the patient the solution and focusing in on the benefits of the treatment. 

Cleverly ( if required) he taught us to handle any objections professionally, smoothly and seamlessly to appoint where you close the deal. He teaches you the buying signals, how to close the case, how to discuss money, why not to discount and how most of the barriers to sell rest with the dentist and team themselves.

After numerous role playing the energy was high, the room was buzzing and the laughter was always apparent.

I found Ashley highly entertaining, engaging, thought provoking, intelligent and inspiring to learn from and implement required changes.

Ashley showed a genuine interest in our group and shared many personal sides of his life with us.

Often there are things we say and do ( and many things we don't do ) that adversely effect are ability to sell and gain acceptance for our treatments. He has cleverly adapted his knowledge of sales and entered a niche market of demand by providing a structure of events that if happen will almost always lead to success in your treatment plan acceptance. 

I would certainly recommend this course even to the most experienced, successful dentists as there is always concepts to revise, or something to take away and learn.

I am excited to learn a different approach and am very eager to compare and contrast my learned skills with my new skills.

The food was amazing. It was easily the best spread of food i have had at a dental conference.
