Alistair is our specialist presenter on the Management and Leadership programme, Reception, Confidence Breakthrough and Life skills for young adults’ courses.
Having trained as a coach in 2006, he has been offering delegates right across the employment spectrum his expertise ever since and has worked with companies as diverse as SAAB Cars International and Manchester United FC. He has even worked with young professional footballers at academy level, to help them deal with demands of the media.
Educated at Manchester Grammar School, he studied Journalism at UCLAN, before subsequently working for ITV for more than 16 years. He fulfilled a variety of roles for them, including as both a producer and a presenter. It was those skills in particular that have enabled him to develop many of the programmes he currently successfully delivers to our delegates, offering his unique insight into improving self-confidence and enhancing assertive leadership.
A current freelance presenter and commentator on BBC Match of the Day and Final Score, he also works on BT Sport’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League, the Italian, German and French football leagues. He also commentates on international football for UEFA.
He can also boast ITV, Channel Four, Sky Sports and Channel Five on his impressive CV as well as three National RTS Television Awards in recognition of his successful career to date.
In demand as an MC and guest speaker, he has worked with dozens of celebrities across the sport and entertainment industry, including David Beckham, Sir Alex Ferguson, Bradley Walsh and John Bishop among many others.
As well as his love for football, he enjoys tennis and cricket and played both for many years. He’s been to Wimbledon and Lords Cricket Ground on countless occasions and even went to Australia to watch England in the Ashes as they played matches in Adelaide and Perth.
Travel is one of his great passions, in particular to Italy and the United States where he rates Venice, Milan and San Diego among his favourite destinations.
Married to our Sales and Customer Support Manager Lissa, he loves nothing more though than spending time with the family at home in Manchester. They have one son (Ethan), one dog (Stewie) and one cat (Maggie), meaning his spare time is usually split between Dad’s taxis service and dog walking duties!
Since Ashley invited Alistair on board in 2013, he has delivered courses to hundreds of delegates across the UK and Ireland and continues to receive some outstanding feedback for his distinctive style of coaching.
